SaSaZu
Location: Bubenské nábřeží 306/13, Praha 7 – Holešovice
Phone: 284 097 455
Website: www.sasazu.com
Best Night to Go: Saturday
Despite being in the bowels of Holešovice, SaSaZu is overtly the swankiest club in Prague. Notable DJs seem to come only here. The venue resembles a warehouse for Czech socialites. Drink prices are steep. The cover charge is ridiculous. Nevertheless, SaSaZu can be worth the money if you go on an event night.
Go around 2 a.m. to avoid being the only one on an odd, empty dance floor that spans the entire club. This is usually the final pit stop. You’ll also find there is more than enough space to get your freak, but not your drink on. The bar gets really crowded as the night goes on. Pre-game hard to avoid lines and 250 Kč Red Bull vodka.
If the name isn’t a big enough indicator, SaSaZu can bring serious spice to your weekend. It calls to mind distant memories of NYU, when getting into clubs meant having to look good. This doesn’t mean you’ll be smited at the door if you dress down, just that you’ll stick out amongst the stilettos.
The sound system and lighting are also to be desired. SaSaZu makes it a point to adorn your clubbing experience with a low-key fog machine. DJs usually reign over the club on an elevated stage. If you’re lucky and swift, often times it is easy to get in the booth or take a picture with Fedde le Grand (cough cough personal account).
Why go to SaSaZu? Sometimes, you just gotta get classy.
Average Prices: Beer – 50 Kč; Cocktails – 200 Kč
